OptiFine Won't Install Through Java? (Windows 10) Hey guys, I've recently run into a problem regarding OptiFine installation, and I've found a solution to the problem. Specifically, the problem I've run into is that whenever I try to download a new version of OptiFine, I only have the WinRAR file and not the Java file. Drag and drop the It said it was finished. So I went to the optifine installer, double clicked, it asked me what to open it with. I didnt find Java, so I searched it, and found the java application, selected it, and a black "commannd" screen showed up for half a second. Then it closes. I tried reinstalling java hundreds of time, but it won't work. It does nothing after that. I browse through all the applications in the bin folders, It has java, javacpl, javaw, and javaws. None of it works. I don't have this issue on my other computer. I did the exact same thing with it, and it works. The only difference it's that the Optifine file type is "Executive jar file" on my other computer. Why does my OptiFine download do this? #943.
